Discussion on the Use of Magnets on Maglev Trains
Time:2023-09-21 20:05:47 views:
Magnetic levitation train is a high-speed maglev train system that uses non-contact electromagnetic levitation, guidance, and drive systems. Its speed can reach over 500 kilometers per hour, making it the world's fastest ground passenger vehicle. It has the advantages of fast speed, strong climbing ability, low energy consumption, low noise, safe and comfortable operation, no fuel, less pollution, and low price. In addition, it adopts elevated roads and occupies very little arable land. Magnetic levitation trains mean that these trains use the basic principle of magnetic levitation on guide rails to replace old steel wheel and track trains. Magnetic levitation technology utilizes electromagnetic force to enhance the entire train carriage, eliminate annoying friction and unpleasant noise, and achieve rapid "flight" without touching the ground or requiring fuel. The maglev train is the most fundamental breakthrough in railway technology since the introduction of Stephenson's "rocket" steam locomotive about 200 years ago. Magnetic levitation trains seem to be a new phenomenon today. In fact, its theoretical preparation has a long history. The research on magnetic levitation technology originated in Germany. As early as 1922, German engineer Hermann Kempel proposed the principle of magnetic levitation and applied for a patent for magnetic levitation trains in 1934. After entering the 1970s, with the continuous strengthening of the economic strength of industrialized countries around the world, in order to improve transportation capacity to meet their economic development needs, Germany, Japan, the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and other developed countries have started planning to develop maglev transportation systems one after another.
